Product Description
This detailed, hard plastic highland calf miniature is well-made and quite realistic in its reddish-brown color, detailed fur, mouth and hooves. It is in a lying down position and can be bought separately or with our mother cow and another calf which is standing. Well proportioned, 2 1/2 inches long, our adorable Highland calf will fit nicely into a diorama about cattle, ranches, or about Scotland, from where the Highland cow originates. This calf may be useful for a school project or as a party favor, belongs in a cow collection or can be used as a novelty item. Check out our other cattle and hoofed animal toys and gifts.
Highland cattle are a Scottish cattle breed. They have long horns and long wavy coats that are coloured black, brindle, red, yellow, white, silver (looks white but with a black nose) or dun, and they are raised primarily for their meat. They originated in the Highlands and Hebrides Islands of Scotland and were first mentioned in the 6th century AD. They are generally good-natured animals but very protective of their young.
