Realistic Parasaurolophus Dinosaur Toy
Parasaurolophus was a herbivorous breed of dinosaur from North America. Parasaurolophus lived approximately 75 million years ago and could travel as both a biped (two-legged) and a quadruped (four-legged), depending on how much speed and height was called for. As a complete skeleton has never been assembled, scientists can only estimate parasaurolophus' length (approximately 31 feet) and weight (approximately 2.8 short tons). Paralaurolophus is best-known for its distinctive head crest that projects out the back of its skull. The purpose of this crest is unknown. However, scientists have speculated that it may have been an anchor point for neck-supporting ligaments, as a visual display for mating, and as a sound-amplification adaptation.
