Product Description
Our Plastic Tarsier This engaging-looking plastic tarsier replica is made of solid plastic and stands on a branch. It is 2 inches tall. The color is somewhat imaginative and has distinctive highlights. Our tarsier miniature has a concerned expression but promises not to bite. This tarsier replica makes an interesting pet or gift and fits nicely into a shoebox diorama for a school project. I wonder if Yoda was based on a tarsier. What do you think? Tarsiers are an endangered species found in the Phillipines. It is not a monkey, but a prosimian, an earlier version of primate related to lemurs, bushbabies, and aye-ayes. It is a small nocturnal carnivorous animal, which feasts primarily on insects and small reptiles. The tarsier gets its name from its long, clawed webbed feet. It has enormous eyes and huge ears. It can turn its head 180 degrees because the eyes of the tarsier do not move. The tarsier is covered with heavy fur, but has a bald tail. It is an ancient animal and has changed little in 45 million years.
